Operators and administrators in MyChat.

Due to client-server technology MyChat has quite a flexible system of managing users and user groups. In this article we will see who are the administrators and operators in MyChat.

It is important to know. In MyChat no such thing as «administrator», just have the opportunity to create a group of users who will be given all rights, including rights of operators. Thus, users belonging to this group, it is possible to call administrators.

What is the status of the operator, and what rights belong to him.

Operator can not be a user who is not registered in any of the groups.

Operators are those users who are listed in the section «Channel Operators» of administration panel. For example:

Administrators.

In MyChat administrators can be any users included in the appropriate group. Name of the Administrators group is absolutely not necessary, it can have any other name.

For example, you create a group of «Information Technology Department» with administrator privileges. 

Go to the administration panel, select the section «User Groups» and note the group that exists by default. Rename the group by clicking on the icon with a pencil:

Now we come to the section «User Rights» and add all the necessary rights.

Thus, we have a group of «Information Technology Department» and users are included in it, will have all the necessary privileges.

However, the rights allocated by «Operators only» will work if you assign a operator status for each of the users of this group.
